BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A woman was robbed at knife-point in Blytheville Thursday afternoon.
According to a Blytheville police report, an officer was called to the 2500-block of South Division Street around 1:40 p.m. after a woman told dispatch a group of women had jumped her.
The victim said that she left the Arkansas Northeastern College campus to get some food.
While she was walking, a silver Pontiac Grand Prix pulled up next to her, and the women inside asked if she needed a ride.
The victim declined because she was smoking a cigarette and "thought it would be rude to smoke in someone's vehicle."
When the victim made it back on campus, the car pulled up to her again and then four unknown black females jumped out of the car.
The report says that one of them held a knife to the victim's throat and demanded her phone.
When the victim refused, they stole her purse.
A witness nearby saw the incident and said she screamed and started walking toward the suspects.
That was when they stopped fighting the victim, got back into the car and drove away.
The witness was not able to get the vehicle's license plate number.
