Forrest City police looking for suspect in horse's death

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Forrest City police are looking for a man they say killed a horse.

According to a post on the Forrest City Police Department's Facebook page, detectives found probable cause to issue an active warrant for Brandon Mitchell.

He is accused of shooting and killing a horse named "Brownie" back on May 4.

Chief Deon Lee thanked all who helped in the case in the post and expressed his intention to bring the suspect to justice.

Mitchell is being charged with aggravated animal cruelty, criminal mischief, discharging a firearm in city limits, committing a felony with a firearm and furnishing a handgun to a convicted felon.

Police said Mitchell may be the Little Rock area.

They are offering a reward of up to $1,000.
