Several businesses approved to sell wine

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

In addition to beer, several Region 8 stores can now sell wine to their customers.

During the Alcoholic Beverage Control’s May 18 meeting in Little Rock, Director Gary “Bud” Roberts granted Small Farm Wine permits for the following businesses in Paragould:

  • Dollar General Store #12258, 4701 Hwy. 135 North
  • Dollar General Store #12506, 3405 Linwood Dr.
  • Dollar General Store #764, 200 W. Main
  • Dollar General Store #2806, 1723 Paragould Plaza, Ste. 2

According to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration’s website, the ABC received no objections from public officials concerning the permits.

Other director’s decisions announced during Wednesday’s meeting include:

  • El Puerto, 324 N. 6th St., Blytheville: Beer on Premises—Conditional upon receipt of health department approval and installation of a second restroom with re-inspection by ABC Enforcement.
  • Town & Country Food & Fuel, 625 E. Main, Blytheville: Beer Off Premises-Change of Manager.
  • Gavin’s Downtown, 117 N. Main, Harrisburg: Restaurant Beer & Wine (Combo)—Conditional upon receipt of health department approval.
  • Dollar General #4767, 275 Hwy. 18, Manila: Small Farm Wine-Retail
  • O’Charley’s of Jonesboro, 2312 E. Parker, Jonesboro: Private Club-Change of Manager
