Two accused of dragging man with vehicle

STEELE, MO (KAIT) - Police arrested two men after they reportedly dragged a man with a vehicle.

According to a post on the Steele Police Department's Facebook page, officers responded to a disturbance call on Saturday, May 14, on Burton Street.

When police arrived, they found a man with "severe lacerations to his hands and legs."

The man told officers he grabbed onto a vehicle, and the driver drove away, dragging him on the ground.

The man was flown to Regional Medical Center in Memphis for the treatment of his injuries.

Police arrested two 17-year-old men on suspicion of first-degree assault and took them to the Pemiscot County Jail.

Their names are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges by the prosecuting attorney.
