Senior center raising money for bucket truck

Westminster community wants bucket truck

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The Westminster Senior Center in Blytheville is asking for the community's help in keeping the senior citizens safe.

Linda O'Guinn, the director of the center, said the non-profit living community has set up a GoFundMe account to buy a bucket truck.

O'Guinn said there are several loose tree limbs dangling in the trees and that these could fall and injure someone.

She added that relying on a tree service is too costly.

"It's so important that we get the community involved to help us get this property done so our seniors over the age of 55 that live here on this property can have a safe environment," O'Guinn said.

O'Guinn said they want to raise around $8,000.
