Road project bids approved by AHTD

Many road project bids are approved in northeast Arkansas.

News releases from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department issued the following approvals from the Arkansas State Highway Commission:

Clay County/Randolph County:

Resurface 5.2 miles of various city streets in Biggers - Randolph St., Randabaugh St., Puckett St., Main St. and King St.; Knobel, including 2nd, 3rd,

4th and 5th Streets, Main St., Elm St., Oak St., Mulberry St., Cherry St. and Cypress St.; and

Rector - Donna St., Woodland Heights St., Cagle St., Donaldson St. and 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 13th Streets

Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, Inc. of Paragould was awarded the contract at $644,979.14.

Crittenden County:

Resurface 3.5 miles of County Roads 6 and 17 near Earle

APAC-Tennessee, Inc. of Memphis, TN was awarded the contract at $534,347.03.

Cross County:

Resurface 4.4 miles of County Roads 3 near Malone Creek, 29 near McFaron Branch, and 65 near Cathy Lake

M & T Paving & Construction Company, Inc. of Forrest City was awarded the contract at
$621,876.03.

Greene County:

Resurface 2 miles of County Road 113 near Lake Frierson State Park

Asphalt Producers, LLC of Jonesboro was awarded the contract at $289,291.94.

Izard County:

Resurface 2 miles of various city streets in Oxford - 2nd and 3rd St., Telephon Rd., Grills St., School Loop Rd., Moss Ln., Wideman Rd. and Earl St.

Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at $219,210.16.

Resurface 2 miles of various city streets in Lynn - Smithville Rd., School St., Hardaway St., Dawson Cutoff, Lion St. and Caspar St.; and 1.5 miles of various city streets in Strawberry, including Cedar Ln., Shady Ln., Pine St., Wheel St. and Lone Hill Dr.

Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at $345,057.21.

Poinsett County:

Resurface 2 miles of various city streets in Fisher - Haines Ave., Front St., Bayou Rd., Myrtle Ave., Main St., Willing Ave., Lawrence St., Horst St. and Darter Blvd.

Asphalt Producers, LLC of Jonesboro was awarded the contract at $193,337.10.

Randolph County: 

Resurface 4.8 miles of County Roads 7 near Blue Basin Lake and 51 near Hamil

Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at $358,930.77.

Sharp County:

Replace the bridge where County Road 16 crosses the South Big Creek

Pace Construction Company, LLC of St. Louis, MO was awarded the contract at $1,544,500.00.

White County:

Resurface 1.1 miles of County Road 628 (Crisco Road) near U.S. Highway 67

White County of Searcy was awarded the contract at $158,742.61.

Most projects are scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather pending. The projects are expected to be completed by mid to late 2016.
