JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The emergency shelter at Allen Park will remain open for Jonesboro flood victims Wednesday night.

The American Red Cross said the shelter would stay open for people displaced by Tuesday night’s flash flood emergency in Jonesboro issued by the National Weather Service in Memphis.

The shelter is at the Allen Park Community Center, 3609 Race Street.

“Red Cross Disaster Responders began disaster response this morning to verify the level of damage caused during the four-hour flash flood emergency,” Executive Director of American Red Cross serving Northeast Arkansas Pam Knapp-Carver said.

Directions to the shelter can be found using the American Red Cross Emergency app.
