CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Several ditches and roads were still covered in water and debris Wednesday after heavy rain brought flooding to Jonesboro Tuesday night.

Crews were out on Highway 463 clearing some debris and several shop owners were cleaning out their flooded stores.

Businesses and residents along the highway saw a lot of water coming inside their buildings.

Some homeowners said they had never seen flooding like that before.

One shop owner said about four inches of water came into her business.

Regina Heatherly, the owner of Tri-State Window and Door, spent all day trying to clean all the water out.

She described it as just horrible.

“I am just trying to mop and get all the water up and get stuff off the floor and dry stuff out,” Heatherly said.

She said in the 40 years that her business has been in that location rain has never flooded the building.
