SEARCY, AR (KAIT) -

A White County mobile home park hopes to jump on a national trend by bringing in new tiny homes instead of trailers.

According to the Little Rock ABC affiliate, KATV, the Curd Mobile Home Park in Searcy is having trouble making the move.

Tiny homes are a new trend. They are typically under 500 square feet and featured in several reality, and home makeover shows.

David Brennan says the city is blocking him obtaining the proper permits to make the move.

"We're denied access to the planning commission. The city attorney says this is not an issue for the city planning commission. Code enforcement says it's above their paygrade. So it's a nursery school game of keep away as to whose job this is to make this determination," Brennan told KATV.
