Blytheville coach suspended

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The Blytheville School Board suspended a softball coach at a special meeting Tuesday night.

The school board suspended Chanel Moton for three days without pay for "excessive foul language with students."

According to Superintendent Richard Atwill, the incident happened on April 26.

Moton's coaching contract was also terminated at the meeting, but her teaching contract was not, according to Atwill.

He said that he will recommend that Moton's teaching contract be renewed for the next school year.
