POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - The demolition of the Black River Bridge in Pocahontas is scheduled to begin in about a month.
Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department District Engineer Walter McMillan said that the date for the demolition is set for July 5.
The highway department is tearing down the old bridge and replacing it with a new one.
The department also had to do a lot of maintenance on the old bridge.
The project is expected to last 285 days.
