JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Region 8 News was able to confirm a second arrest in the murder of Kayla Vinson.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, Mario Jashon Stafford, 19, of Jonesboro turned himself into police on Memorial Day. Stafford was wanted for first-degree murder in connection to a home invasion in December.
Stafford was in Craighead County District Court Tuesday.
He was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated residential burglary.
Stafford was given a $2,000,000 bond.
He is expected in court again on June 28.
Vinson died in the attack and another victim, Donald Versey, was injured.
The first suspect arrested, Benjamine Dewayne Scott, 22, of Jonesboro turned himself in last week.
