BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - Two people were charged with multiple felonies after police found a gym bag full of pills, the makings of a meth lab and meth inside their car.
According to an affidavit, Brookland police stopped the two suspects around Highway 49 and School Street in Brookland Monday night.
During the stop, officers learned that the driver, Kimberly Byrd, 44, of Batesville had a suspended license and was on active parole.
They also noted the passenger, Michael Gray, 31, of Jonesboro attempted to hide something in the floorboard.
During a search of the car, police found a baggie with what appeared to be meth in the floorboard.
They also found a gym ball full of prescription pills and the materials and chemicals required to make methamphetamine.
Byrd and Gray were in Craighead County District Court Tuesday.
Each of their bonds were set at $150,000.
Both are expected back in court June 28.
