Taxi driver held at gun point

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro City Cab Company customer held an employee at gunpoint and demanded a bag of money.

Police are investigating the incident that happened in the area of Big Lots around 4 a.m. Saturday.

According to a Jonesboro police report, two City Cab employees picked up the customer, described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, at Walker Court and Calion.

The driver drove the man to Rosemond and Dupwe.

When the suspect got out of the van, he walked to the passenger window and asked if they could make change for a $100 bill.

The two employees then told police the man pulled out a small, semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at one them.

That is when the suspect demanded the taxi employees give him their bag of money.

Before the suspect could get his hands on it, the driver sped off, leaving the suspect empty handed.

The victims told police the man had short, light brown hair.

The report stated he was wearing a black shirt with camouflage pants.
