FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Forrest City police arrested a convicted felon Tuesday after they said he had loaded firearms in his car.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, they got a call about a man waving a gun in the air around the Cope Cove apartments.

Officers arrested Jerry Baker after a traffic stop  and charged him with three counts of possession of a firearm by certain person, a class D felony.

Police found an AK-47, a 9 mm handgun, and a .22 rifle, all loaded, in his car.

Baker was taken to the St. Francis County Jail.

He is set to appear in court June 8.

Police Chief Deon Lee thanked everyone who helped in this case for their fast response.
