Police investigate home shot at 5 times

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police are investigating after a home was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning.

According to the police report, a home in the 2100 block of Edwards Street had been shot at around 12 a.m.

An officer on scene said he saw five bullet holes in the front of the home.

There was one in a window, two in the front door, one in the siding, and one in the ceiling of the carport.

The officer also found six .40 caliber shell casings in the road.

The homeowner told police she didn't know why her house was targeted.

The value of the damage was estimated to be about $1,000.

Police said the woman's home was the only one damaged in the shooting.
