CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

There are a few changes happening at the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt. Rusty Grigsby retired from the sheriff department’s Criminal Investigations Division May 31 after nearly three decades of service.

Investigator Ron Richardson was promoted to take his place.

Richardson worked at four other law enforcement agencies in the state before moving to the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Richardson began his career at the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office in 1988, worked for the Marked Tree Police Department, the Trumann Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office before moving to Craighead County in September 2000.

He worked as a detention officer and a deputy before moving into CID as an investigator in 2006.

The sheriff’s department congratulated both Grisby and Richardson on beginning these new chapters in their life.
