GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Greene County sheriff's deputies arrested a man for breaking into a Lafe home early Sunday morning.

According to the incident report, a deputy was called to a home in the 500-block of Mockingbird Circle around 2:30 a.m.

Deputies spoke with the victim who said that Josh Blagg, 38, was in his house going through his belongings.

The victim said he woke up to Blagg standing over him with a flashlight looking through the pockets of his jeans that were hanging up.

The victim also said he kicked Blagg as he was running out of the house.

The report said that the victim did not know if anything was missing at that time but he did say that Blagg steals his medication from him every month.

The victim stated that Blagg lived in one of the two sheds behind his house.

Deputies began trying to make contact with Blagg at the sheds, but no one would answer at either one, even though deputies could hear voices in both sheds.

After several minutes, officers were able to make contact with Blagg in one of the sheds.

Deputies noted he was not wearing any shoes.

At first, Blagg said he was sleeping the whole time, but then said he woke up to get some food which was in the victim’s house.

Blagg said he could not have broken into the victim’s house because the back door is always unlocked so that people who live the sheds can use the kitchen and bathroom.

He claimed he didn’t take anything.

Deputies found bare footprints leading from Blagg’s shed to the victim’s home back to the shed.

Deputies arrested Blagg charging him with breaking or entering a residence.
