Woman arrested on drug and firearm charges

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Law enforcement arrested one woman in a house search in Independence County.

According to the Prosecuting Attorney Drug Task Force of the 16th Judicial District, agents with the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force, Independence County Sheriff’s Office and Batesville Police Department executed a search warrant on the home of Natalie Floyd, 49, at 20 Double Road in South Side.

During the search, officials found over six pounds of suspected methamphetamine, stolen firearms, marijuana and a large amount of money.

The estimated street value of the meth was $270,000.

Authorities arrested Alexa Watts, 29, of Searcy and was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Watts is being held in the Independence County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

Agents are looking for Floyd for the same charges as well as delivery of methamphetamine.
