Blytheville Fire Department investigating another arson

Multiple attacks in Blytheville

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville firemen are investigating a fourth arson in less than a week, according to Lieutenant Daniel Holifield.

Holifield said they responded to an unoccupied home set on fire around 1 a.m. Saturday in the 1100-block of South Franklin.

There appeared to be four patterns in different parts of the house where the suspect poured some type of accelerant.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though.

Neighbors told officers on the scene the people living in the home moved out Friday, just hours before it was set on fire.

Holifield does not know how many suspects are involved at this time or if this incident is connected to the previous arson investigations.

Anyone with information about this crime should contact the Blytheville Police Department at (870) 763-4411.
