JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Office assisted the White County Arkansas Community Correction with a home visit of a Bradford man Friday night.
Deputies responded when Bobby Joe Gray II, 28, escaped from parole and probation and led authorities on a foot chase for several miles, according to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
White County deputies used their K-9 to track Gray.
He was taken into custody in rural Jackson County.
During a search warrant of his home, deputies found three pounds of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine, $9,000 in cash and several different firearms.
Gray is held in Jackson County custody pending formal charges.
The Jackson County Sheriff, David Lucas, says he is very excited to get this criminal in custody.
"I was sworn to protect the citizens of Jackson County and that is what I intent to do" Lucas said, "My deputies work countless hours to provide the protection of the citizens."
Captain Ricky Morales with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office also said he was proud of the deputies for never giving up on the chase, even in the heat.
