GasBuddy reports Arkansas's gas prices drop 0.9 cents

Average retail gas prices fell 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week in Arkansas, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,826 gas outlets.

The average price on Sunday was $2.11 per gallon in Arkansas, with the national average price at $2.38 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.    

Despite the price drop in Arkansas, the national average increased 2.4 cents per gallon.  

Prices as of Sunday in Arkansas were 43.2 cents lower than the same day last year and 13.2 cents higher than one month ago.  

The national average increased 16.8 cents per gallon during the last month and is 41.8 cents per gallon lower than June 13 of last year.  

Gas prices on June 13 in Arkansas fluctuated over the last five years according to GasBuddy historical data:

$2.53/g in 2015, $3.39/g in 2014, $3.36/g in 2013, $3.22/g in 2012 and $3.51/g in 2011.  

"We're sticking by our January forecast that told of an average U.S. gas price of $2.41/gallon during the summer driving season", said senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.com, Patrick DeHaan.
