BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The Blytheville Police Department arrested a man after a woman said he threatened her with a gun.
Police said they went to the Hollywood Mart, 381 North Hollywood, in Blytheville for reports of a man with a gun.
The victim told police Frederick Jackson Jr., 26, became angry with her and pulled out a gun and threatened her after she denied his advances.
Officers asked Jackson to get out of his vehicle, but he refused.
Police then noted Jackson had an AR style pistol, loaded with a thirty round magazine in his vehicle, according to the report.
They added that Jackson's 8-year-old brother was in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident.
After Jackson was placed into custody, police found "lean" in the car, a purple-colored mixture commonly containing Sprite and liquid codeine, according to the report.
While trying to take him to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office, Jackson began kicking the door of the police car, causing around $1,200 in damages.
Jackson was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by certain persons, possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of minor, criminal mischief, and a parole violation.
He appeared in court Monday. His bond was set at $85,000 cash only.
