Home catches fire after lightning strike

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Emergency crews responded to a house fire in Craighead County Wednesday night.

It happened at a home on County Road 270 in Cash.

According to Cash Fire Chief Morris Watkins, the fire started from a lightning strike.

It hit an add-on area on the home around the garage.

Fire crews contained the fire to the area around the add-on, but the flames did burst through the roof of the garage.

No injuries were reported.

Fire crews from Cash, Bono, and Valley View all responded to the scene.
