JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police say a man arrested last month for indecent exposure made an “appearance” in court.

During Wednesday morning’s district court session at 410 West Washington, 18-year-old Derrick Thomas of Jonesboro asked Officer Jamie Seaborn if he could get a drink of water.

Seaborn took Thomas to the bathroom, the initial incident report stated.

A few seconds later Seaborn said Thomas exited the bathroom, “pulled his pants down around his ankles and took his shirt off.”

Thomas then ran into the Judge Keith Blackman’s courtroom.

Seaborn said Thomas then held up his hands and yelled, “Court is back in session.”

It took Seaborn and two other officers to get Thomas to pull up his pants and remove him from the courtroom.

The officer said Thomas began laughing and said, “I told you that I would do it.”

Thomas reportedly added that “they will put on his tombstone that he was the one that was naked in the courtroom.”

Thomas was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and cited with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, obstruction of governmental operations, and resisting arrest.

In May, police arrested Thomas after they reportedly found him naked on a sidewalk "enjoying himself."
