Take Back Event to help fight substance abuse

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

NEA Baptist and Jonesboro Police Department DARE will unite for a drug Take Bake Event.  

The event will be Thursday, June 23, from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the NEA Baptist Farmer's Market, 4800 E. Johnson.  

Anyone with unused or expired prescriptions and/or over-the-counter medications is welcome to bring them to the event for proper disposal, according to a news release from the hospital.

Other community partners including Northeast Arkansas Regional Recovery Center, Out of the Dark, Reclamation House and NEA Baptist Smoking Cessation will be at the event to share information.

NEA Baptist will provide free blood pressure and cholesterol screenings at the event and ASU dietetic students will be available to provide information.
