JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - According to the Arkansas Department of Correction, escaped inmate Lloyd Jones is now back in custody as of 3:02 Thursday afternoon.

They said he was found around three miles from the East Arkansas Regional Unit and added it was also around five miles from where Jones escaped on Monday.

The department said Jones is in custody at the Maximum Security Unit in Tucker, Arkansas.

He was taken there after his interview with law enforcement.

Arkansas State Police is investigating his escape.

There is no word yet on what additional charges Jones may face.

The department added they are also conducting an internal review of Jones' escape. After the review is completed, they may make changes to their policies.

Director Wendy Kelly said, "The capture of Lloyd Jones is a testament to the dedication of the ADC staff and our law enforcement partners involved in this search. I, along with many others, am grateful for their combined efforts."
