JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Downtown Jonesboro Association hosted its Alive After Five event Thursday evening despite the hot temperatures.
They set up early Thursday morning to ensure everyone stayed cool and safe.
Fans were passed out to event goers and a mist tent was set up to keep people cool throughout the evening.
"We are taking extra precautions we are actually going to have our first responders at the event tonight since it is our service appreciation event, so if there should be any kinds of concerns we do have those staffers on site," DJA Executive Director Hailey Knight said.
Knight said lemonade and snow cones were on sale, but bottled water was available for all vendors and event goers.
