JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Instead of taking out a pizza, police say someone took out the register of a local restaurant.

The manager of Larry’s Pizza, 1841 E. Highland, reported Thursday morning that someone entered the business and stole the cash register.

According to the initial incident report, the crooks got away with several hundred dollars and the register, valued at $300.

The break-in reportedly happened sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police provided no further information at the time of this report.

On Friday morning, the owner of Gee Street Mall, 304 S. Gee, reported someone broke into his business sometime after 10 Thursday night.

The thief apparently broke out a large window on the north side of the building to gain entry.

Once inside, the suspect stole three pellet guns and $10 in loose change.

The business is divided into several small sections rented out to other people to sell their antiques and crafts.

The owner said he would notify the renters to determine if any of their items were stolen.

Anyone with information on either of these burglaries should call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
