A well-known restaurant may return to downtown Jonesboro.

On June 16, Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control Gary “Bud” Roberts approved a private club-change of manager request by Daniel A. Vos for Bennigan’s, 235 S. Main.

According to the ABC website, the permit is conditional upon receipt of health department approval and installation of a telephone, followed by re-inspection by ABC enforcement.

Roberts approved the request after receiving no objections from public officials.

The ABC director also approved a change of manager and change of trade name request by Timothy L. Blagg for The Thirsty Hog Saloon, 310 S. Pruett in Paragould.

Roberts also approved a new private club permit for Grange at Wilson Gardens, 15 S. Jefferson in Wilson, after receiving no objections from the chief of police.
