UPDATE: Body discovered in Blytheville park identified

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

UPDATE: Blytheville Police Captain Scott Adams confirms the body found on June 29 at a Blytheville park is identified as Yama Monuel Gonzalez.

Gonzalez has a son in Mexico who the Mississippi County coroner is communicating with to make arrangements, according to Adams.

Police previously said Gonzalez died of natural causes with no foul play suspected.


The Blytheville Parks and Recreation crew found a body around 7:30 a.m.Wednesday at Walker Park.

According to Captain Scott Adams with Blytheville police, the man died of natural causes. No foul play is suspected.

The body has not been identified by police.

Parks and Recreation Director Elroy Brown said the man was seen at the park regularly, usually sitting under the trees.
