Salif Boudie Signs With A-State Men’s Basketball

JONESBORO, Ark. (6/22/16) – Salif Boudie, who spent last year at Quakerdale Prep School, signed a grant-in-aid agreement to join the Arkansas State men's basketball team for the 2016-17 season, head coach Grant McCasland announced today.

Boudie (pronounced Sa-Leaf Bo-Jay) will have four seasons of eligibility with the Red Wolves.

"We're really excited about Salif joining our Red Wolves basketball family," said McCasland. "Salif has the ability to play around the basket or the perimeter. He is very competitive and brings all the intangibles you would want for a freshman and we anticipate him to have an impact quickly. Salif is a phenomenal individual to be around and he will be a great member of our team and the Jonesboro community."

A 6-foot-7 forward, Boudie averaged 19 points and nine rebounds last season for Quakerdale Prep School in New Providence, Iowa.

He prepped at Central Park Christian high school in Birmingham, Alabama, averaging 15 points, nine rebounds and four blocks per game in his senior season.

Boudie is the sixth signee by McCasland and staff and one of eight newcomers to the A-State roster for the 2016-17 season.
