TUCKERMAN, AR (KAIT) -

The problem with discolored water in Tuckerman should be completely fixed in a couple of months.

Arkansas Department of Health Public Information Officer Meg Mirivel said the problem was caused by a failure in the pump between the temporary clarifiers and the water plant.

The problem has been fixed but there are still pockets of discolored water in Tuckerman.

While there are still complaints, they are beginning to decrease.

However, when the city gets a call of an incident, they will flush out the lines in the area to help with the problem.

The completion of the new water plant is expected to happen in about two months.

Mirivel said hopefully when the plant is finished, the issue will be taken care of.
