BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - UPDATE: Kordarro Woodard was arraigned in Blytheville District Court Monday via closed circuit video.

Woodard is now facing first-degree murder in the death of ex-girlfriend Martha George.

Captain Scott Adams states a judge found probable cause and modified Woodard's bond to $500,000 cash.

Woodard reportedly became combative after bond was set and was found in contempt.

His pretrial court date is July 26 in Blytheville Circuit Court.

A woman who reportedly suffered burns from her ex-boyfriend has died, according to Captain Scott Adams of the Blytheville Police Department.

Martha George, 37, of Blytheville died Friday at 1:15 p.m.

In a post on her Facebook page, George's mother, Nedra Cook, thanked people for praying for her family.

Police were called to a residence Sunday and found George in a shower suffering from burns.

Kordarro Woodard, George's ex-boyfriend, was arrested following the incident and charged with attempted murder, domestic battery and violation of a no-contact order.

On Saturday, Captain Adams confirmed that Woodard is now facing a first-degree murder charge after George's death.

George was transported to a Memphis hospital burn unit where she had remained in critical condition.

Woodard remains in the Mississippi County Jail.
