Memphis firefighter killed in crash

POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Memphis firefighter died in a Poinsett County crash Saturday night. 

The crash happened around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate 555 and Highway 135.

According to the crash report, 41-year-old Brent McKinness was driving north on I-555 when he ran off the road, overcorrected and then flipped.

McKinness was ejected from the vehicle. 

He was a Memphis firefighter who was off-duty at the time. 

The fire department posted on their Facebook page Sunday saying he was one-of-a-kind, and they are praying for his family.
