Crash in Fulton Co. kills Arkansas teen

FULTON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Region 8 teen died in a Sunday afternoon crash.

A crash report by Arkansas State Police indicates Jamis Dockins, 18, of Viola, was heading south on Arkansas Highway 223 in Fulton County around 4:40 p.m.

Dockins crossed the opposite lane and drove into the ditch on the east side of the highway.

While trying to get back in his lane, he overcorrected which caused his vehicle to overturn, according to ASP. Dockins was thrown from the vehicle.

The crash report does not state whether Dockins was wearing a seat belt or not. However, it did state the road was dry and it was a clear day.
