Stolen truck found, man arrested

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Sheriff's deputies arrested a Baxter County man for stealing a vehicle over the weekend.

On Saturday, a man reported that his 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck was stolen from his driveway between 8 and 9 that morning.

The man told police he saw Lennie Verl Swink, 56, driving off in the truck.

Later in the morning, the victim's brother reported seeing the stolen truck on Highway 62 east of Mountain Home and called the sheriff's office.

Corporal Robert Recktenwald found the truck and pulled the driver, later identified as Swink, over.

Recktenwald arrested Swink and took him to the Baxter County Detention Center.

He was charged with a felony for theft of property and a misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license.

Swink's bond was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 30.
