JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Wednesday was the final day for people to apply for state assistance to repair flood damage.
Jonesboro was declared a state of disaster after the flooding on May 24.
Residents who had damage from the flood were asked to call in on the emergency line set up by the state.
This line allowed people to explain further the damage they received so the state can determine how much money they will give to help.
Phone lines for this closed at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to Craighead County Emergency Management Director David Moore, 173 people called for assistance.
Moore told Region 8 News it is now up to the state to determine the dollar amount given to residents.
