Elementary school to receive new audio system

GOSNELL, AR (KAIT) - One Region 8 elementary school will soon have a new audio-visual system.

Gosnell Elementary School worked for nearly a year to receive the equipment.

The school board approved the $12,000 project on Monday and the equipment will be ordered July 1.

Principal Debbie Wammack said the new video and sound equipment will be placed in the cafeteria.

"We've always had to split up and everybody go to a different spot in small groups, maybe one grade," Wammack said. "Even if we go to the gym, you can't hear. Now when we come, this is going to be things kids create or kids have accomplished."

Wammack said she hopes the equipment is installed before the start of the school year.
