Woman charged with Medicaid fraud

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) -

A Randolph County woman faces multiple felony charges of Medicaid fraud.

Shirley Diane Contreras, 46, of Pocahontas turned herself in to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, according to Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge’s office.

Contreras is accused of billing more than $5,500 for services not rendered to three Medicaid recipients between June 2014 and August 2015.

She is charged with two Class C felonies and one Class B felony.

Contreras, who was released on a citation, is scheduled to appear in Pulaski County District Court in August.
