WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - Stewart Park in Walnut Ridge will be much brighter thanks to a donation from the City of Paragould.

According to a post on the City of Walnut Ridge's Facebook page, Paragould recently replaced some of its light sets with LED lighting.

The old lights were donated to Walnut Ridge.

On Thursday, crews with Craighead Electric Cooperative began installing light poles at the ball field at Stewart Park.

Mayor Charles Snapp said he's excited for the donation.

"The lights may not be as cost effective as LED lights, but they work and they are affordable," Mayor Snapp said on Facebook. "Now to get them hung up!"

Mayor Snapp said there were enough lights donated to light the next field the city builds.
