BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A man already locked up on misdemeanor charges now faces felony charges of theft and burglary.
Stephen Israel Osborne, 33, of Mountain Home is accused of stealing numerous items from a property on Baxter County Road 39 on March 25, according to Sheriff John Montgomery.
Sheriff's investigators reportedly found through the LeadsOnline database that Osborne pawned some of the stolen items at a shop in Mountain Home.
On June 6, someone entered a home on Cochran Drive and stole several items, including a roll of Susan B. Anthony dollar coins.
Again, using LeadsOnline, sheriff's investigators reportedly discovered Osborne sold the coins to a Mountain Home pawn shop.
In addition to the original misdemeanor charge of failure to appear in court, which landed him in the Baxter County Detention Center, Osborne is now charged with 2 counts of felony residential burglary, one count of felony theft of property, and one count of misdemeanor theft of property.
He remains in jail in lieu of a $40,000 bond awaiting a July 21 circuit court appearance.
