INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Humane Society of Independence County is asking for the public’s help to raise money for a new industrial washer and dryer.

The humane society is kicking off a campaign to raise $10,000 in ten days between July 10 and July 19.

The organization has two washers and dryers now that are unreliable.

In 2015, they took in 789 animals, which create a lot of laundry.

They are asking for 1,000 donations of $10 over the ten day period to raise the funds.

There are several ways to donate:

  • Using Paypal at email address hiscshelteroffice@yahoo.com
  • Facebook donation at Humane Society of Independence County
  • Mail donation to Humane Society of Independence County, P. O. Box 3477, Batesville, AR 72503
  • You can call the humane society at (870) 793-0090 to donate over the phone
  • You can also drop off donations at the Humane Society or at Bargain Hound Boutique in Batesville
