Police investigate a Saturday garage theft

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are searching for a thief who stole thousands of dollars’ worth of a man’s belongings.

According to a Jonesboro police incident report, an officer was called to the 200-block of Magnolia Drive around 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The officer spoke with the victim who said someone took several of his things and kicked in the door to his house.

While investigating, police noticed the overhead door to the garage was open and the side door was forced open.

The victim told police the suspect stole an orange Bad Boy Inc. lawn mower with a Dale Earnhardt Jr. sticker, a go-cart and a tool box with approximately $10,000 worth of tools.

The officer found a black flashlight by the door of the garage and tire tracks leading from the back yard to North Church Street.

According to its tracks, the vehicle looked to be headed north on Church Street.
