Police respond to aggravated assault call

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police responded to a call about an aggravated assault Monday morning.

According to the report, the victim said she got a call from her mother to check on her sister who was having an argument with her husband.

The victim told police when she arrived she got in an argument with her sister's husband, 27-year-old Quinton Lamar Davis.

The victim told police during the argument Davis pulled a pistol from his back pocket.

Police searched Davis and found three pocketknives and the pistol magazine from his pockets.

Police also found the pistol in Davis' vehicle.

Davis told police he pulled his weapon because the victim threatened him and he thought she had a gun on her as well.

Police did not find any weapon on the victim.

Davis was arrested for aggravated assault and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
