STEELE, MO (KAIT) - A man stopped for speeding ended up in jail after police say they found a "substantial amount" of drugs in his car.
Steele police stopped 52-year-old Johnny Hudson on Monday for exceeding the posted speed, according to a news release from Chief Billy Joe Stanfield.
During the stop, officers reportedly found marijuana and a "substantial amount of purported crack cocaine and purported methamphetamine."
Officers arrested Hudson on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, one misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance, and exceeding the posted speed limit.
He is currently being held in the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
