LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) - Medical cannabis will be up for a vote this November in Arkansas.
According to Little Rock television station KATV, Secretary of State Mark Martin confirmed Thursday the Arkansans for Compassionate Care (ACC) collected 77,516 valid signatures for the Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act (AMCA).
The act would allow doctors to recommend medical cannabis to patients with certain debilitating or life-threatening medical conditions.
A similar act proposed by the ACC nearly became Arkansas law in 2012.
