BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Tenaris announced Thursday it would reduce the workforce at its welded pipe mill in Blytheville.

The reduction will affect approximately 100 employees, according to a news release from the company.

Tenaris blamed the “continued downturn in the oil and gas sector” for the reductions.

This is the latest in a series of reductions at the company. In May the company laid off 5 people and 100 people in January.
