According to a Jonesboro police report, the incident happened on Saturday at Murphy Oil USA, 1807 East Highland Drive.

An employee told police that a black man driving a newer model Dodge Durango pumped $62.80 worth of gas and drove off without paying.

The employee gave the officer a license plate number of an Arkansas tag 656 UAU. It came back to a Toyota pickup, not the Dodge Durango.

The officer asked the employee if she had the right plate number.

She told police she did because she checked it when the suspect went to the restroom.

Police said the the vehicle could be displaying fake tags.
