Rapper and son help AR police officer do good

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - A rapper and his son are helping an Arkansas officer do some good in the central part of the state.

According to his Facebook page, "The Game," also known as Jayceon Taylor said his oldest son Harlem Taylor wanted to do something good for a police officer.

The rapper said when Harlem researched a good cop online he found Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman.

"The Game" and his son then decided to set up a GoFundMe page to help the officer continue to give back to his community.

"The Game" donated the first $1,000 to get the charity page started strong.

He said he was touched how active Officer Norman is in the African-American community.

The goal was initially set at $10,000.

They had to extend the goal once to $25,000, but they then extended it again to $50,000 because of the overwhelming support.

As of early Monday morning, more than $40,000 had been raised.

Officer Norman is very active on social media and posts updates on his acts across the community.
